Clint Eastwood, the acclaimed actor and director, is mourning the loss of his longtime partner, Christina Sandera. The Hollywood icon paid tribute to the 61-year-old Sandera through a statement released to The Hollywood Reporter on Friday.
Eastwood, who is 94 years old and a multiple Oscar winner, expressed his heartfelt sentiments, describing Sandera as a “lovely, caring woman” whom he will “miss very much.” The couple had been together since 2014, and Eastwood’s spokesperson has stated that no further details about Sandera’s passing will be provided.
The relationship between Clint Eastwood and Christina Sandera spanned nearly a decade, with the couple publicly sharing their lives together since 2014. Eastwood, known for his iconic roles in films such as “The Man with No Name” series, has now lost his beloved partner, a loss that clearly weighs heavily on the 94-year-old actor.
At the time, Sandera was working as a hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, Calif. They made their red carpet debut at the 2015 Academy Awards.
Prior to their romance, Eastwood was married to journalist Dina Ruiz from 1996 to 2014.
The Golden Globe winner’s first marriage was to model Maggie Johnson, with the duo tying the knot in 1953 and calling it quits 11 years later. The pair did not, however, divorce until 1984.
Eastwood fathered eight children over the years, welcoming daughter Morgan, 27, while married to Ruiz, as well as son Kyle, 56, and daughter Alison, 52, with Johnson.
Throughout his storied career, Clint Eastwood has built an extensive family, with several children from different relationships. During his time with Christina Sandera, he also conceived daughters Laurie, 69, and Kimber, 60, with an unidentified woman and stuntwoman Roxanne Tunis, respectively.
In addition to his recent relationship, Eastwood has also welcomed children with other partners over the years. His children with flight attendant Jacelyn Reeves – son Scott, 38, and daughter Kathryn, 36 – were born in 1986 and 1988, respectively.
Eastwood’s family continued to grow when he welcomed daughter Francesca, now 30, with actress Frances Fisher in 1993. This expansive and blended family dynamic has undoubtedly been an integral part of the legendary actor’s life, even as he mourns the loss of his longtime partner, Christina Sandera.
